ISSVD NOMINEES-Letters of Nomination for North American Chapter Executive Council
I am writing to express my strong interest in serving as your President-Elect.
I have been incredibly fortunate over the years to benefit from the mentorship of incredible vulvologists such as Dr. Libby Edwards and Dr. Joanna Badger (my Stanford Dermatology vulvar mentor) and the ISSVD community. Over the last few years I have been more involved in the leadership serving as Secretary General for the NA-ISSVD and serving as the Co-Chair and now Chair of the ISSVD Professional Education committee. Helping put together and direct CME conferences on vulvovaginal disease is one of my professional passions! If I am appointed as a future President-Elect, I would make sure to solicit and listen to members’ ideas for furthering our Society’s mission and being more inclusive of all ideas.
Thank you for your consideration,
Aruna Venkatesan, MD (Current Secretary General)
I am writing to express my strong interest in serving as your Secretary General.
I am excited to continue working to further the goals of the ISSVD-NA chapter. I currently serve as a council member of ISSVD-NA and Chair of the ISSVD Competency/Assessment committee. As Chair of the Competency/Assessment committee, I have the privilege of working with members to create educational material for all vulvologists which we will share in Dublin. I hope to use my experiences serving as President of Maryland Dermatologic Society, American Academy of Dermatology Chair of State Policy Committee and Med Chi’s legislative council to work for the ISSVD-NA. Thanks for your consideration.
Dr. Jill Allbritton
I am writing to inform you of my interest in the position of Councillor on the NA Chapter Executive Council. I first developed an interest in pursuing a career helping women with vulvar disease as a second-year medical student, shadowing a multidisciplinary clinic with Dr. Margesson and Dr. Birenbaum. Two incredible mentors that changed the trajectory of my life and who I am still in touch with 15 years later! As a resident I joined the ISSVD and the events were integral in allowing me to pursue my passion. Not only did I learn valuable clinical information, I made friends and met colleagues which still help me on a regular basis. As I gained more experience, I didn’t rely on the ISSVD as much. Now that I have 8 years of medical practice under my belt, I would like to contribute more the society and help it grow to serve our community better, foster interest in those at the beginning of their careers and help advance the world of vulvar disease.
Thank you for your consideration,
Rachel Kornik, MD
