TWO SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD) is encouraging health care providers who have recently developed an interest in vulvovaginal disease to attend the upcoming international World Congress and Postgraduate Course of the Society.
The upcoming World Congress will be held in Mendoza, Argentina from September 13-15th and is preceded by the Postgraduate Course on September 11 & 12, 2017.
One scholarship will be awarded by the International Society and another by the North American Chapter of the ISSVD. The scholarships will be awarded to an individual who demonstrates promise to promote knowledge in diseases of the vulva and vagina. In order to qualify, you must be a recent graduate (within 5 years of residency), a current resident, or still in a training program. A supporting letter is required with your application.
Applications must be received by March 1, 2017. They should be EMAILED to the Executive Director of the ISSVD, Debbie Roepe, at Executive.Director@issvd.org
PURPOSE:
The purpose of these scholarships are to assist someone with a keen interest in continuing his or her interest in treating vulvovaginal disease. Therefore, it is expected that the recipients would continue their membership in the society, currently annual dues are $150 for the International Society and $50 for the North American Chapter.
The winner of the scholarship from the North American Chapter would be expected to maintain membership in both the International Society and the Chapter.

Applications should consist of a paragraph (200 words maximum) describing why you deserve this award, along with a copy of your curriculum vitae and supporting letter from your department chair or mentor. Participants with interest in vulvovaginal conditions are encouraged to apply.
